Berkley and I did a little location scouting today. I had my Pentax 67 with me for a shoot that never went down… so I shot some Tri-x. Pushed 3 stops to 3200. I LOVE the look of it. The grain is beautiful too. This was also my first roll of 120 which I developed myself. You can see the scratch marks bottom left because of how poorly I handled it. It’s not as easy to spool as 35mm, thats for sure. I’m looking forward to shooting and developing more of my own film.
Ethan sat down with me after his gig in Market Square the other day. I happened to be walking around with Camera Traders’ Hasselblad. I’m just in love with film right now. More than you can imagine. It’s like a rebirth of sorts. Can’t wait to shoot some more film soon. Definitely for Aidan Knight’s band promo.

Vince Vaccaro at VICfest 2012. Shot this on my Pentax 67II. Weirdest grain ever. (@vincevaccaro, @Vicfest12)
…I wish I could remember life from this vantage point. This kid is in his own little world, and none of us will ever know what it’s like.
…use your imagination.
Going through scans taken with my Pentax 67II. Crying because I can’t do the same with my 5DII.
She wasn’t expecting this shot - which is the beauty of looking down through a viewfinder in the current age. I met her and her friends under a tree in a festival. Really friendly people. I’m so in love with this picture. I’m so in love with film. I think I will forever shoot film for personal work.
Brace yourself for some uploads.
